Rev. Dr. Gwendolyn Farrell - "A Servant of God"
To describe the ministry gift of Dr.Gwendolyn Farrell, words like vivacious, charismatic, prophetic, and didactic are just some that have been used. She was born on the island of Montserrat and began her educational journey at Bethel High School. From a young age she felt the leading of the Holy Spirit while attending Shiloh Pentecostal Church, and it is at this church she accepted Christ in her heart, and His full leading in her life.
In 1961, she migrated to London, England and completed her high school education. Soon after she met, fell in love with and married Hezron Farrell, and they began building a life of ministry together. While in London she attended Shiloh Pentecostal Church and received ministerial/church work training under the leadership of Pastor Betty White. She received the prophetic call and accepted the Godly fulfillment to her purpose which included the relocation of her family to Boston, Massachusetts in the USA. It is here in Boston that with her husband Bishop Hezron Farrell, she co-founded and co-pastors Gladtidings House of Prayer for all Nations. They also built a family having 4 children - Yvonne, Sam, Roy, and Michelle.
In 1979, she received her license as a practical nurse. She continued and pursued a baccalaureate degree as a Registered Nurse from the Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. During this time of studying, Dr Farrell also tended to her 4 children, worked and served in Gladtidings as First Lady, while being a dutiful wife. It was in this phase that fuel was put to her fire passion for ministry and The Holy Spirit exploded in her. She made herself available to the work of the Lord and sought a deeper knowledge of it.
To enhance her understanding of the Word, she attended the World Harvest Bible College of Columbus Ohio, Kingdom University Ministry School of Atlanta, GA, Keys of the Kingdom Academy of Brockton, MA, and Logos Christian Unifier of Jacksonville Florida. In 2007, she graduated with her Masters in Theology from Logos Christian Graduate School where she was also the recipient of a Doctoral Degree in Theology.
The call on her life has led her, by God's grace, to establish the GPA Bible Academy in 2001 with the purpose of equipping the body of Christ. Dr. Farrell has traveled extensively ministering throughout Europe, Africa, the Caribbean Islands, and the United States. Her vision has been birthed from Isaiah 61:3. In 2011, she released her first prayer CD entitled "Spiritual Warfare." She is a humble, affectionate, virtuous woman; a worshiper, trailblazer, and prayer warrior mandated by God to raise up an army in this generation.
